The King’s New Year Honours

British Empire Medal

Paul was awarded the British Empire Medal (Civil Division) for services to the community by His Majesty the King in the New Year Honours list announced on 31 December 2024, and was invited to Buckingham Palace.

It is a remarkable turnaround for a man who spent over 20 years addicted to drugs, in gangs and in and out of prison, and who has spent every year since 2009 telling young people the truth about where that life leads.
